Challenge & Approach
The challenge
A midday ceremony in open sun is honest light at its hardest. We scouted the garden a day early and built the timeline around two patches of open shade.
Our approach
One photographer stayed with Ratna through preparations in the villa; the other walked the garden with Bagus. During the ceremony we shot only from the sides — never between the couple and their guests.
We forgot the cameras were there — and then the gallery brought the whole day back.
